Exploring new routes

I really admire my friend for asking me where I want to go during our after-office walks.

As spontaneous as I am, I seek to try different routes (depending on my mood and stress levels).

And every time we mix and match already familiar routes, we always find something new. Without being confined to a schedule, we could enjoy the freedom and autonomy of walking freely.

The destination is sure. But just the art of wandering, allowing yourself to be in the flow, makes it more gratifying when achieved.

I’ve been with people who only stick to familiar routes, and their rigidity is contagious and somewhat limiting. They become tiresome to be with, eventually.

Perhaps, the same with living a mundane life, it pays to explore new ways out of the ordinary, breaking routine.
