We’ve been taught how the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart.
But I wonder, is there a way around it? Can you pretend to be someone you’re not, and no one will ever find out?
Or when will the slip-up happen? Where you cannot keep it in any longer, and your true character eventually shows its ugly head for all to see?
Reminds me of how Pastor Sumrall puts it in one of the daily morning devotions, reading the Book of Matthew:
“Character creates desires. Desires create decisions.”
