We used to be so good at it, right?
Okay, maybe not you.
But still, while we were still in school, we had a higher chance of making a friend or two compared with our present selves who work around the clock.
And if you’re married with children, chances are you’re busy keeping up with day-to-day demands too.
Do we still have time to make friends?
If you’re curious about the maths of making friends, this post will tell you just how many hours one usually evolves from acquaintances to friendships.
And because we don’t have much of those hours to develop long-lasting friendships, I realized how important it is to choose your friends wisely when you’re still young. Because those hours you spent together, as cliche as it sounds, are unrecoverable.
We simply keep moving on in our lives, don’t we?
So if there’s any advice I can give to children at this moment, it would be to foster the friendships you want to last a lifetime.
But of course, it’s never too late to make one.
All it takes is the intention to spend the time needed to cultivate a friendship that grows and lasts.
