Being in a family

Just because you are a part of a family doesn’t mean you’re having life easy. Easier must be. But easy? I don’t think so. Why would I say that?

Because admit it or not, you’re still learning how to deal with everybody in the family. Even if you have the same upbringing or values, there are still things that you might not agree with everybody else. And you have to understand each of your differences, too! It’s never easy, right?

But the friction in the family is what challenges you to grow and be more understanding. That despite your differences, you are willing to forgo your ego in the name of love for the family. Yes, we do not tolerate wrongdoings. But our love for each other is capable of making us more patient, kind, and forgiving to one another.

At the end of the day, being in a family is the best thing that could happen to you. So treasure the moments you get to spend with your parents and your siblings. There’s no take two. There is only today.
